Medicare rebate and referrals
You will need to bring your referral with you to your appointment to be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Referrals from your GP are generally valid for a period of 12 months, while referrals from Specialists are valid for only 3 months.
Cancellations
We generally have waiting lists for appointments and as a courtesy to other patients, request that you provide at least 24hrs notice for cancellation or change of appointment. There is a fee for not notifying reception by telephone of inability to attend.
Prescriptions
Our doctors will only issue repeat prescriptions without consultation if you have been seen in the practice within the last 12 months; however there are some exceptions where more frequent consultations are required.
New patient details
Please print and complete this form then hand to the receptionist with your referral on your arrival. Download New Patient Details Form.
Professional fees
Unfortunately due to the cost of providing specialist medical services, we do not bulk bill.
Our receptionists are able to provide information regarding consultation fees; however further treatment costs for surgical procedures should be discussed with your Dermatologist. If a biopsy or surgical excision is performed, the tissue specimen will be sent to a specialist pathologist for further testing and you will receive a separate account from the pathology company for which a Medicare rebate may be applicable.
Please note that we do not issue accounts and full payment of professional fees is expected at the time of your consultation. For your convenience, payments can be made with Cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express and we can electronically submit your Medicare claim online.
Department of Veteran Affairs Gold Card and appropriate White Card holders are treated without gap payments.
